STEWARDSHIP

Stewardship statements (January 1 - September 30, 2018) were recently sent through email only.  Statements sent via email were generated through our new database system, OnDemand, which will show as sender of email, and the reply email is caroline@vagocathedral.org.

If you did not receive an email statement, have any questions, or would like to receive a statement through postal mail, contact Caroline Moses at the cathedral or caroline@vagocathedral.org.

Stewardship Program

Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral is a full stewardship parish that requires no minimum pledge in order to be a member. Our Stewardship Program encourages parishioners to pledge donations in any amount, either one-time, regular, or periodic payments. Our annual Stewardship Pledge Drive occurs in the fall for the next calendar year. Parishioners are usually contacted for participation at that time, although new members and current members may complete a Stewardship Pledge Card at any time.

To Become a Member of Saints Constantine & Helen
For more information about becoming a member, or to receive a Welcome Packet, please call the church office at (804) 355-3687. Our Welcome Packet includes Membership Registration information, which should be completed and returned to the church office. Stewardship Pledge Cards can also be obtained at the office.

Members in Good Standing
A member in “good standing,” as defined in our By-Laws, is one who:
  1. Is 18 years of age or older.
  2. Was baptized according to the rites of the Orthodox Church or was received in to the Orthodox Church through Chrismation.
  3. Lives according to the faith and cannons of the Church, and has made a financial contribution and/or has signed a stewardship pledge card.
  4. Abides by the “Special Regulations and Uniform Parish Regulations of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America,” and the local Parish By-Laws.

“I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit.”

Throughout the year, the Stewardship Committee will continue to emphasize the many needs, purposes, and significance Stewardship giving has on our Cathedral and ministries. The goal is to reinforce the need for each member to faithfully and generously pledge their time, treasure, and talent to our Cathedral. Our goal will be to achieve 100% of our Operating expense through Stewardship giving only.

Our mission is clear and simple. We must all do our part to fill the Stewardship gap. Stewardship is an opportunity to examine our priorities and values, to express our thankfulness, to give of ourselves and to grow in grace. It allows us to participate in the work of God. Come and See what we can do together with your support.
