Dean is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, where parents, Louis and Andrea Tiggas still reside. He is the youngest of five, with four older sisters, and a hand full of nieces and nephews always making family get-togethers a good time. Throughout his youth and high school years, Dean was always involved with church activities and sports, primarily hockey, which is a way of life way up north in Minnesota. After graduating from high school, Dean attended Hellenic College where he graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Religious Studies in the spring of 2013. After undergrad, Dean attended Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology and graduated with a Masters of Divinity in the spring of 2016.
During his time at Hellenic College, Holy Cross, Dean found his passion for youth ministry. He became involved with various programs at the parish, metropolis, and camping levels including counselor and administrative roles at Ionian Village in 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2015. Ionian Village is where he met his now wife Victoria, who works for a local non-profit organization here in Richmond.
Both Victoria and Dean are very thankful to be a part of the Saints Constantine and Helen community, and are greatly enjoying their new home of Richmond, Virginia!
