Congratulations:
We congratulate Samantha Rafalowski on receiving honorable mention for the National Oratorical Festival held in New York City on June 6th. Samantha was a finalist in our local Cathedral, Virginia region, and Metropolis of New Jersey competition.
Shortstop Nick Poulos of Douglas Freeman, son of George and Susan Poulos, was selected Most Valuable Player in the Colonial District and an all-star on the Regional team. He will continue his baseball career at the University of Richmond.
Congratulations to Anna Tsironis, she has been named “Coach of the Year” in Chesterfield County. Anna teaches geometry to the emotionally disturbed students at James River High School. In addition, she is the coach of the girls’ soccer team at James River. This honor was bestowed upon Anna by her coaching colleagues. - Linda Tsironis Caruthers
